Gunn intramuscular stimulation (IMS) is a very effective method of diagnosing and treating chronic pain of neuropathic origin. It involves the use of needles, similar to those used in acupuncture, in order to diagnose and release deep muscle shortening. The technique was developed by Dr. Chan Gunn in the 1970’s in order to treat chronic conditions (those persisting longer than the typical healing time of 6-8 weeks) which were often unresponsive to conventional treatment. Unsure if IMS can help you? Give us a call, we’d be happy to answer any questions that you may have.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture involves the insertion of small, thin needles into specific points on the body. With roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture is based on the idea that pain and dysfunction is due to a disruption in the flow of energy throughout the body. Acupuncture is a safe, effective method used to reduce pain, and improve energy, mood, and overall function of the body.
